How To Stay Motivated in Stressful Times

easy life hack

We all know that mindfulness is good for us just like eating our veggies or getting enough sleep. But, when life gets stressful and your energy is running on fumes, sitting down to meditate or do breathwork can feel as appealing as running a marathon in flip flops! The good news? Mindfulness does not have to be an all-or-nothing commitment. Instead of trying to carve out an hour for deep meditation, sneak it into your day like a ninja, and take 5 deep breaths while waiting for your coffee, do a quick body scan before you scroll your phone, or turn washing dishes into a jam session while breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Also, maybe blow some bubbles around with your potent breath!

One easy trick to stay motivated is to stop making mindfulness another task on your to-do list and start treating it like a little life hack. It really is! Stressed and exhausted? Perfect because that's when you need it the most. Keep it simple, keep it doable, and give yourself credit for even the tiniest moments of awareness. Whether it's a five-minute stretch, a slow sip of tea, or just remembering to breathe deeply before answering an email, every little bit adds up! So don't worry about being a Zen master and just focus on being a mindful human, one small moment at a time.

Over time, these small moments of mindfulness add up, creating a sense of calm and clarity even in the busiest days. Instead of feeling drained and overwhelmed, you start to notice more ease, patience, and maybe even a little extra energy. And the best part? You don't have to wait until life slows down for just a few moments of peace. Each day mindfulness can help you feel more grounded, balanced, and ready to handle whatever comes your way. Like I always say, "A little movement can go a long way!"
